Pay Very Careful Attention: The Jews of Israel, and Bible Prophecy, are Exactly Where They’re Supposed to Be … By: Jim Fletcher

It is often said, most disgustingly by Christian pastors, that the Jews of Israel today are not religious. In its most odious form, the Jews are claimed to be “Christ killers.” This is the kind of Jew-hatred that emerged widely during the Medieval period (which I think is one reason Europe is a mediocre Continent to this day).

These things are not true. But most people don’t know history and if it is Christians we are talking about, they don’t know enough to even challenge the pastors, seminary professors, and ministry heads. Jew-hatred is growing in America too, in no small part because of the terrible teachings of men like Andy Stanley; he has told people to “unhitch” from the Old Testament. In other words, don’t teach it, just minimize it, or ignore it altogether. The German Christian Movement, in the years just before the Holocaust and the rise of the Nazis, taught the exact same thing. People therefore did not know Jewish history, and it was easy to marginalize them by the Nazi criminals. The Jews became “Other.”

One day, the lies will be tabulated and accounted for, but for now, I can do my small part by pointing out another amazing facet of the Jews—especially those in Israel.

On my many trips there, I’ve seen bulletproof evidence that they are in fact either religious or moving in that direction. Evangelical Christians are annoyed that this doesn’t mean mass baptisms in the Jordan River, or “Just As I Am” alter calls all over Israel.

But the Bible doesn’t describe such an environment in the last days. It does describe the way Almighty God will deal with His People.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. (Ezekiel 37:11,12)

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. (Ezekiel 37:14)

And guess what? This is exactly where the Jews are today. The Land of Israel is thriving.

The detractors keep hauling out the indictments, though. Well, Israel hosts “Gay” Pride parades!

So does America. So does Europe.

Well, Israel provides abortions!

So does America. So does Europe.

The facts are crystal-clear. Israel is moving toward her Messiah. He is coming. I have had many conversations with Israeli friends who say they can hear His footsteps. I never hear Christians talk about this. They are too busy listening to inspirational, funny, light TED talks.

Think of it. Israel right now is exactly on the timeline God set for them from the beginning. Meditate on this. Think about what Scripture actually says, and what the Jews of Israel are actually doing. Not what a Jew-hating clergyman in Milwaukee is spewing from the pulpit.

I have been privileged seeing the posters in Jerusalem’s Old City calling for the appearance of Messiah.

I especially want you to think about this. Read all of Ezekiel 37. Here, God is telling us that the day will come when He will return the Jews physically to the land (also Amos 9:15, Deuteronomy 31) and THEN will He restore them spiritually.

In that order.

“Save” them and then the Return? No. Physical return first, then their spiritual awakening.

Beginning in 1882, the first mass waves of Jewish immigration to Palestine became. On May 14, 1948, the state of Israel was announced in Tel Avi. There are now almost 8 million Jews in Israel! Can you even begin to understand the profound privilege you’ve been given by the Lord Himself? You live precisely in the moment in which the Jews have re-entered history. They have walked back onto the stage in the time in which you live. Wake up!

Read Zechariah 14 very carefully. This outlines the end of the end. The Jews of Israel will be restored fully.

The naysayers and Christian mockers and haters are profoundly wrong today.

Here are a couple other examples for you to ponder.

Sukkot is the Jewish festival of thanksgiving, on the heels of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), calling to mind the Israelites’ wandering in the desert for 40 years. People put up huts on their property, symbolizing the temporary dwellings of the Israelites in the wilderness all those years. This week I came across a photo of a Sukkot hut put up by Israeli soldiers during the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Why are IDF troops, in the midst of a desperate, existential war, giving a nod to their God?

Why?

I would submit to you it’s only because they are being prepared in their hearts to meet their God spiritually. You see at this time of year hundreds of thousands of Sukkot huts all over Israel!

Pull your head out! Get your eyes open to what God is doing in this age through His People, the Jews. If you have heard bad things about them, they are not what you think they are.

Another example is one I’ve used many times. In Israel, you will see signs in Hebrew (the national language) all over the country. This has hit me in the most mundane places: an Exit sign over a hotel restaurant. A sign at the train station in Tel Aviv.

Do you know why Hebrew exists as a national language today, after 2,000 years of exile? There’s only one reason. A sign, in Hebrew? Why?

God said they would come back.

Do you know anyone that speaks Sumerian? Akkadian?

Only the Jews as a nationally restored entity is promised, in all of Scripture.

Think about that.

With regard to what the Bible actually says, pull your head of the sand. Or wherever else it is.

The Jews have returned to the Land of Israel. In our day.

Their spiritual restoration is minutes away.
